Disney will build a 21 acre, 800 unit resort at Ko Olina on Oahu. There are no plans for a theme park.

"We are looking forward to building a special family resort that honors the cultural diversity of Hawai'i and reflects the spirit of aloha that makes this location so unique," [spokesman Jay] Rasulo said. Disney characters Lilo and Stitch — from the animated film of the same name — made the trip from the Magic Kingdom with Rasulo.
