IMPROVING HEALTHCARE ON MAUI

In the Maui News the announcement of a new cancer facility to be built and operated by a partnership including the Pacific Cancer Institute and Hawaii Pacific Health.

 

The Pacific Cancer Institute on Maui has announced a new partnership and plans to establish a first-of-its-kind facility that combines conventional care with alternative medicine in oncology treatment. The Comprehensive Cancer Center of Maui will provide radiation and chemotherapy as well as a place for patients to fight off cancer with other means including yoga, massage therapy and acupuncture…SHPDA has already granted an administrative certificate of need to the Pacific Cancer Institute of Maui to build the new $5 million cancer center. Target date of completion is the end of 2008.
